Taylor Swift’s 10 Lessons For Success
The other day, I started listening to Taylor Swift’s song, “Anti-Hero”, on Apple Music. I got obsessed and the song was on loop for 24 hours straight.
Jake Peralta was right. Taylor Swift does make all of us feel things.
This gave me the idea to write this blog and list down what we can learn from Taylor Swift about success in life.
Embrace your story
Swift’s debut album titled, “Taylor Swift”, blended country and pop in a way that wasn’t prevalent in mainstream music at the time.
This unique sound helped her gain attention in both genres.
In a speech to New York University graduates, Swift told them to “learn to live” and “embrace cringe”.
Cringe is “inevitable” says Swift. The she adds:
“My experience has been that my mistakes led to the best things of my life.”
She also said that in life, when you lose things, “you gain things too.”
“You’re on your own—and that’s beautiful.”
Taylor weaves her heart into every song, reminding us that vulnerability is strength.
That’s the power of owning your story.
