Redesigning Landing Page—Hera Calendar App
What started as a note-taking app living as a Chrome extension in early 2021, is now a Y Combinator-backed startup taking on the future virtual meetings.
Hera is the mother of all Calendar apps whose mission is to replace Google Calendar. Joining a meeting from Hera will open any video conferencing tool like Zoom and Google Meet, which is found in the calendar invitation.
When scheduling a meeting with Hera, you can automatically add a Zoom or Google Meet link. What makes Hera fascinating is the leverage of shortcuts. For instance, with a press of one key, you can search your calendar by meeting attendees, event titles, keywords from your notes, and more.
Hera in Albanian also means “time”, which is a nice reference to one of the goals of Hera, to save you time.
In the list of my lean case studies, I decided to do one for Hera, starting with its landing page since its macOS app is yet to be released to the general public.
In this article, I’m going to focus on the hero section only, which is the section of a website the person or visitor first sees. The rest of the website will be available for viewing on Figma, which will be inserted below.
