My Honest Thoughts About Figma Community

Figma is a popular design tool that allows users to create and collaborate on designs in real-time. While I consider it as my highly-preferred design tool out there best for amateurs and experts, I have concerns regarding the design choices made for the Figma app itself in the past couple of years.

One of the most touted features is the Figma Community, which allows users to showcase and sell their work and find inspirations created by fellow designers. However, the Figma community can be tiresome to navigate, access, and explore.

While the community instantly shows a curation of designs and relevant tags that can help with what you’re looking for, navigating it can be confusing. I’m going to say exactly how I thought about it every time I use it: It just feels off, it lacked focus, and consistency.

There’s two common ways to access the community feature from the home/personal tab. First, by clicking the dropdown menu where it shows your account details. Second, by clicking Explore Community on the right hand side of the page.
