Dear Elon Musk, What’s Happening With X?
So I’m a paying X Premium subscriber and I’ve been for several months now. On November 24th, I changed my profile picture which of course would “temporarily” remove my blue check for “verification” purposes.
It’s been more than 3 days now and X hasn’t brought my blue check yet.
I understand that you’ve implemented ID verification to provide an overall secure and safe platform for everyone. You’ve also said it that if you add ID verification to your X profile, it would speed up the process to re-verify your profile. Well, I’ve already completed mine. So what happened to that?
Nearly 24 hours ago, I received a notification saying my profile would be “soon reviewed.” How could it be possible that every non-high-profile X users have to go through this? How is it possible that an action like changing your profile picture leads to this?
If you change your profile picture once a month, you’ll miss out on three days of X Premium benefits. What about users who change their profile pictures multiple times a month? Would they lose six or nine days of premium benefits? Are we really paying for such limited benefits?
I know I’m not alone. Several other X Premium subscribers have expressed similar concerns about the protracted verification process. While we appreciate your efforts to improve the platform, we’re also eager to fully enjoy the benefits of our subscription, especially because we’re paying for it. If we’re not paying for it, we would understand.
