Asking These 3 Questions Will Help You Build A Successful Startup, According To Stripe Founders
What does the future look like?
Patrick and John Collison are the billionaire brothers and co-founders of Stripe and unlike most archetypical Silicon Valley stories, their story started in Ireland, in a small town called, Dromineer.
Their journey in tech didn’t start at Stripe, it started with Auctomatic, to which they had sold for $5 million back in 2008.
At the time, Patrick was 19 and John was 17.
Patrick went to MIT and John went to Harvard, and both ultimately dropped out. The Collison brother’s origin story seems to follow that classic arc of now-unicorn startups, two twenty-somethings drops out of college, decide to start their own startup, and get funding from Elon Musk and Y Combinator.
This is how /Dev/Payments was born.
Which then turned to Stripe.
Let me ask you a question, what do Apple, Amazon, Lyft, and the majority of eCommerce sites today have in common?
They all use Stripe to process their payments.
Stripe started with a simple idea, make online payments easy.
