28 Life Lessons I Wish Someone Told Me in My 20s

Tomorrow is my birthday. Believe it or not, I’m now 28 years old. Wow, where did the time go? It feels like yesterday we were little kids with no responsibilities in life. No heartbreaks nor pressure to perform better. I want this day to be special. I want it to be more than about me. So, I took this day to reflect on my own wild twenties (don’t worry, I’m still learning!), and I’ve compiled 28 things I wish I knew when I was in my early 20s. I want these life lessons to be as simple and actionable as possible for everyone.
- You’ll always be fine. Whatever you’re going through, I want this to be a reminder that you’ll be fine. Nearly 4 years ago when I was visiting Chicago with a cousin of mine, I met a man who was in his early 50s who happens to be Filipino-American in a hostel where we stayed. He was a professor from Las Vegas visiting Chicago. I thought this guy had some wisdom to share. So, I asked him what advice would you give to a 25 years old. He uttered these simple words, “Oh you’re fine…” Whenever I think of these words, I always feel good about myself.
